During the 5150 tour and ou812 tour Ed didn't use the phaser or flanger even though they did do songs that had them in it from the Dave era. He did have a wah on the ou812 tour for cabo wabo. On the 91 tour and from there on out he brought back the phaser, flanger and boss octave. Edit i forgot i already said something about this lol

Just got the Hot Mod v2 for my Marshall SC20h. It's amazing. Has so much gain now similar to my 900 SL-X

That Triple X album is just amazing. Changed my musical life. So glad Dave is recovering from slow Covid and the original band is together making music

I used a Rock Crusher for years with my Marshall Plexis. Never had a problem and they always sounded great. It was a fun way to heat a small room during the winter.

Egnater tweaker 15 has issue, that its small amp and it can get really hot and as it is 6V6 amp, it can "unsolder" the legs from the octal socket. My guitar teacher had this amp and happened already 3 times (with EH, JJ and Sovtek 6V6 power tubes)

I was not expecting a Bosse de Nage reference…I love that band and was just wearing a shirt of theirs the other day. I just bought a ‘79 JMP half-stack from a guy in Santa Cruz that included an EVO 2 and he said that David had also serviced his amp…sounds great.

22:22 I lived very close to Music Ground when they were operating. Their main store in Leeds was quite spectacular with a lot of vintage gear. Unfortunately the family were a bunch of crooks. One day I pulled them up on something that wasn't right with a vintage strat and it turned out the be mishmash of parts from a stolen guitar collection from mainland Europe. I won't even get into the Dumble fakes they were in the process of building before they were caught.

I was checking into that for my 1970 Marshall major and they said it was a compatible that's set up with a double tube they took awhile to get back to me on the answer but they literally called me up but any of you guys get any suggestions for an external mod for my 1970 Marshall major which is basically stock thank you guys

My Brother passed away, and I inherited his favorite amp and guitar.2003 1987x Marshall platinum Jose mod by voodoo amps with all mercury transformers and choke. Boost switch,and global knob.Guitar is Charvel ash wood grain, with Pariah 78 Pasadena White pickup.EVH low friction 500k pot. Not for the faint of heart. Running into straight Marshall Cab with check cloth and greenbacks. Sweet nothing sounds more like VH 1 Tone. Peace

I am a speaker reconer in Detroit area. I love the G12-65M. But i also love the 1777 coned greenbacks. Its the 4" dust cap that keeps the G12-65M tight and focused at higher SPL levels over 2.375 dust cap on Greenbacks. What i am trying is 25 watt paper voice coil with 4 inch G12-65M dust cap to stabilize 1777 lead cone. In a 4X12 cabinet, who is gonna blow 100 watt cabinet now in the less wattage tone wars.

I have two Hot Mods and can’t say enough good things about David and his customer service.

5F6 bassman is cathode follower and best clean sounds ever created. And with pedals can be heated up. Or use a high gain amp with it.

Changing tubes on an Egnater Tweaker is super easy, yes. I have one (the 40W). Use it for the power on my dry cab (wet/dry/wet rig - JEL-20 for preamp tones). Super easy. And the 15 IS cathode biased. Will take many different power tubes. Preamp tubes... any 12A... is fine.
